In this ever shrinking world where the distance between one another has shortened and our communications grown easier, interesting exchanges develop. Such is the case with Majestic Quilts.
When mid-century Western missionaries came to Thailand, they brought with them their hobby of
crafting quilts, teaching the craft to the talented Thai women who were already skilled at intricate
needlework. Today, the Thais women are returning the favor -- applying their deft and delicate touch to
the traditional quilting patterns taught to their ancestors decades ago. And now, these quilts are coming
back to us.
